From October 16th to 18th, 2023, the Fluorinated Gas Sub-Committee of the China National Gas Standardization Technical Committee held the second meeting of its second session and the review meeting of the national standard submission in Qingdao. Quanzhou Yuji participated in the meeting as one of the standard setters of “Perfluoroisobutyronitrile”(C4F7N),.
Perfluoroisobutyronitrile (C4F7N), as a new environmentally friendly insulating gas, has a global warming potential (GWP) of 2100, only 10% of sulfur hexafluoride, and zero ozone depletion potential (ODP). It is one of the most promising alternatives to insulating gas SF6 in the power industry. It can be mixed with one or several types of CO2, N2, O2, and air, and used in electrical components such as sealed shells of medium and high voltage equipment and solid dielectric layers. It is critical in applications of high-voltage and ultra-high voltage transmission. C4F7N is used in high-voltage electrical equipment and has the following beneficial characteristics: environmentally friendliness, excellent insulation performance, good compatibility with switch materials, low toxicity, no flash point, compliance with health and safety requirements as well as low-temperature environment requirements.
As an innovative leader the research and production of fluorine chemicals, Quanzhou Yuji has built a highly efficient and green production line, and is committed to promoting the substitution of high GWP gas SF6 as well as contributing to the Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality Goals with Yuji’s expertise and strength.
